The film features Stefano Anselmi as the director and Giovanni Izzo as the main protagonist. The story revolves around a screenwriter in search of inspiration for his next film set in the Valle dell’Aniene. Reflecting on the story he wants to tell, the screenwriter envisions possible settings for the film while sitting at his desk, surrounded by books, photographs, notes, and various objects. Among these items are five objects representing the five museums of the Medaniene museum system. Found objects and revealing photographs guide the screenwriter's gestures and imagination, leading him to explore and delve into the territory and its features.

Our protagonist's journey will take him to rediscover the places of his childhood, getting lost in the nostalgia of his memories, which were once stifled by the success of his professional career and the hustle and bustle of the big city.
